Scrum poker

The Smartshore Academy realized a scrum poker tool: Play! Fun to use for teams and a powerful tool for quick estimation. Scrum Poker is lightweight and can be used by any Agile team without subscription or commercial messages.

We apply our favorite architecture where all votes are available in real time to all participants. For the organizer we made smart tools available like downloading the results per estimate. Try it yourself with your team!

What the team delivered

Android app

With the latest release, as deployed in November, the Android app is now live in the Google Play store! In this release a new results overview, after every round of voting, is available.

Updates & improvements

The team made visual improvements. Additional functionality for the scrum master has also been added, such as live setting adjustment and opportunities to share results.

Smartshore's DevOps team is delivering the infrastructure and pipelines: a containarized structure based on Kubernetes. As a result, the website is lightning fast and always available. And new releases can also be done multiple times a day in just seconds.

Soft Launch Play

In the 4th sprint a first release: Play is live! As a true MVP (Minimal Viable Product), the first version is now live where we invite partners and customers to test the tool on a large scale. In doing so, users have been invited to suggest new functionalities.

Design & Design System

Based on research and best practices, Ability realizes as the design system as the design for the game. With a nod to playful, an attractive UI is realized which the team, through the standardized process, can easily adopt in TailwindCSS.

A word from the client

The goal was clear, to develop a fun and light version of scrum poker. The team was new, as part of our academy. In a short time the team got to know each other and soon we were able to do our first test releases. I am proud of the team how they were able to deliver a quality good product in a short time because not everyone was familiar with all the techniques yet! If you are looking for a Vue, TailwindCSS or Socket.IO specialist for your team I would recommend this team.
