For our Utrecht office we are looking for a Scrum master Plus
For our team of Scrum Masters in Utrecht we are looking for a colleague who will manage multiple Scrum Teams and create valuable software together with Smartshore's Developers and the client's Product Owner. Affinity with technology and knowledge of business analysis can help to optimally support your colleagues and the Product Owner.
We work for international and Dutch customers. All our teams consist of colleagues from the Netherlands and India. Roles such as Architect, Scrum Master and UX / UI designer are mostly filled from the Netherlands: close to our customers. The teams create complex custom software. This cooperation makes for a diverse and dynamic collaboration.
As Scrum Master, you strive to empower people and support the Developers and the Product Owner in identifying problems and challenges and finding solutions. When supporting the Product Owner, your experience as a Business Analyst will come in handy. Sometimes this also includes taking on tasks that are not directly part of your job description. Together we go for the best result.
You will be working in a young, inspiring and international environment. We have serious growth plans and are looking for enthusiasts who want to contribute to this. We offer a lot of freedom and dynamics.
What are we looking for?
Your profile has the following characteristics:
At least HBO work/thought level;
You have at least 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master with preferably online projects;
You enjoy working with multiple cultures in international teams;
You speak good Dutch and English;
You have good communication and social skills;
You are organized and can plan and organize well;
You are a people person;
You understand business processes;
You have a strong affinity with technology;
You can quickly master new areas or processes.
Certainly not mandatory, but it is an advantage if you have 1 or more of the following characteristics:
You have a Scrum Master certification (such as PSM);
You have, in addition to knowledge of Scrum, substantive knowledge of, for example, Headless CMS systems (such as Strapi, Storyblok or Contentful) or actually have a Software Development background;
You have previous experience as a Business Analyst;
You have experience in specifying requirements and creating backlog items or you want to develop further in this.

About Smartshore
We are Smartshore. We provide international hybrid software development teams that build custom websites, applications and integrations. We do this for clients such as: Red Cross, Heineken, Hello, Deltaresand various SAAS scale-ups. In addition to an office in Utrecht, we also have two offices in India. We have about 80 colleagues working there with whom we work very closely on a daily basis.
Our development teams consist of Indian Developers with Dutch Scrum Masters and Lead Software Engineers who are close to the customer and speak the same language. Combined with our tight agile processes, this gives our teams enormous power for our customers.
These processes are all about the right people. That's why we take good care of them. We deliberately choose to locate in cities like Ludhiana (Punjab) and Panaji (Goa) rather than in a huge city or IT Hub like Bangalore. Smartshore has a nice workplace in the Netherlands 10 minutes cycling distance from the center of Utrecht on a campus and overlooking a beautiful green courtyard garden. We have a kitchen with well-stocked fridges, good coffee and tea and an enthusiastic colleague who will order anything you like to eat or drink. Our office has plenty of plants for fresh oxygen and with multiple meeting areas and also two balconies for when you want to get some fresh air. We even have a large sofa for when you want to hang out comfortably.
So in our Utrecht office, you become part of informal, dynamic and ambitious teams. The lines of communication are short, international and multidisciplinary.
